Sky is the limit in 2009!

Happy New Year! Wow, it's 2009--so hard to believe! I am looking forward to this year with a renewed sense of purpose and vision. My relationship with God has been growing and changing and I know He has wonderful plans in store for me. Jesus gave His life so that I may live with God's blessings and walk with Him always.

I'm on a new mission with my writing--at least 6 short stories published this year and I will be submitting a manuscript to a major publisher. No more waiting, no more holding back. It's easy to get consumed with anxiety and fear when submitting your work--you feel exposed, on display and vulnerable (at least I do) and going after the unknown can be very stressful. But, I would prefer not to live with too many regrets and I don't want to look back and wonder "What would've happened if..."

Writing is cathartic for me--all of my hopes, dreams, and creativity pour out onto the page and sometimes when I read back what I've written, I'm amazed. The process, although hard for me some days, is always magical and I feel blessed God has given me such a gift. Fellow writers, I urge you to pursue your dreams and continue to put pen to paper (or keep fingers on those keys!). Go for everything you would ever wish for because God will fulfill the greatest desires of your heart. Believe and it will be.
